演題:Nuclear shell model studies with projection theory
and implications in astrophysics

概要:
 Performing shell model calculations for heavy, deformed nuclei
has been a long-standing problem in nuclear physics.
The angular-momentum-projection technique may be viewed
as a tool to bridge two traditional nuclear physics methods,
the deformed mean-field approximation and the shell-model diagonalization,
and therefore makes shell model calculations for heavy systems possible.
In the projection theory, one starts with deformed single-particle states
and uses angular-momentum-projection to construct the shell model basis.
Projected Shell Model is an example for realistic calculations.
 The knowledge of nuclear structure in exotic mass regions is important
for understanding stellar nucleosynthesis processes.
This talk will also introduce some recent shell model results
of exotic nuclei that may be involved in the astrophysical rp-
and r-processes, make possible connections of the current nuclear
research to the astrophysical interests, and present future plans
of the shell model study for nuclear astrophysics.
