演題：Crossing barriers to reach the Super-heavy Elements Island

概要：
　The long quest to synthesize very heavy elements by heavy ions collisions has almost reached its limit with the actual technology due to the extremely low cross-sections. But the development of new facilities with high intense beam opens new horizons for the field.
　After a short overview of the subject, I will present the challenges for the theoreticians who try to describe the whole reaction that leads to the synthesis of new nuclei and elements. In particular, I will insist on the less known part of the reaction that is responsible of the hindrance to the fusion. If the origin of the phenomenon is well acknowledged, its amplitude is still very uncertain.
